After the wushu kung fu team won 51 gold medals at the Arab Championship in Tunisia, the sports minister congratulated it on its success. He also praised the work of the Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation, chaired by Sherif Mostafa, in preparing and planning the two championships. That work contributed to the results and to winning first-place cups in sanda, styles and Dian Bing, he said.
Gohar Nabil said the achievement reflected the excellence of wushu kung fu athletes and Egyptian sport’s ability to compete strongly at Arab championships. He also highlighted the fighting spirit and discipline the athletes showed throughout the competitions.
The minister added that the Ministry of Youth and Sports would continue to support the national teams. That backing is intended to help deliver further achievements and raise Egypt’s profile at future sporting events.
