Ligue leaders Monaco were held to a 2-2 draw by Toulouse after building a two-goal advantage before the break. The result was their second draw of the season, following the one against Strasbourg, and ended a six-match unbeaten run. Monaco now have just a one-point lead over Lille and are three points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

At Louis II, Edan Diop opened the scoring on the half-hour, heading in an Aleksandr Golovin cross past Guillaume Restes. Nine minutes later, Diop set up Matthis Abline, who volleyed in the second goal.

Monaco, however, lost control after the interval. Toulouse got back into the match through a Casper Tengstedt penalty, awarded after Nazinho fouled an opponent inside the area. In the 75th minute, Filipe Luis brought on Ansu Fati, who made his first appearance of the season after dealing with a calf problem sustained in pre-season. The former Barcelona forward had a good chance but could not give Monaco the win.

Second-placed Lille beat Lyon 1-0, while Paris Saint-Germain defeated Le Mans 3-1. Those results cut into the leaders’ cushion after Monaco let a two-goal advantage slip.
