Tite highlights Hakim Ziyech’s versatility at Botafogo

Botafogo coach Tite has praised Hakim Ziyech’s technical qualities. The Moroccan international’s ability to operate in several attacking positions gives the team different tactical options, particularly in building play. Ziyech has also received more playing time than initially planned, with Tite saying the team needed his qualities.

The competition for the playmaker role reflects that flexibility. Medina can take up the position, although his style differs from Ziyech’s. Montoro was also among the available options, but an ankle injury has taken him out of Botafogo’s plans.

Tite also described a different role for Danilo Pereira: he tends to carry the ball forward and link play with the forwards, rather than perform the usual duties of a playmaker. Ziyech therefore gives the team another option for varying its attacking approach.

The praise comes after Ziyech’s first two matches in a Botafogo shirt. His performances received a positive response from the team’s supporters, who expressed admiration for the Moroccan international’s level.
