Bayern Munich’s president has denied a disagreement with Harry Kane over an extension to the striker’s contract. He says negotiations are progressing positively and is optimistic that an agreement will be reached soon.
Reports had suggested a gap over the proposed length of a new deal: Kane reportedly wanted a three-year extension, while Bayern had offered two years. The club’s president, however, denied that the contract length was at the centre of the discussions.
Hainer struck an upbeat note: « Je suis extrêmement optimiste. Je sais, par Jan Dreesen et le conseil d’administration, que les négociations se déroulent très bien, et Harry et sa famille sont également très heureux à Munich. Je m’attends donc à ce qu’un accord soit conclu bientôt. »
He also said the talks concerned several separate details: « Non, pas du tout. Il s’agit de nombreux détails, comme les droits à l’image et les droits personnels, et nous allons travailler à les régler. La question ne concerne pas la durée du contrat. »
