Barça Atlètic defeated SD Logroñés 1-0 in Segunda RFEF on matchday six. The fourth consecutive victory takes the reserve side’s unbeaten run to six matches and leaves them top of Group 2. Juan Ybarra decided the game in the 90th minute, after changes were made in the second half.
Juliano Belletti’s side had to be patient against a team defending deep. Ybarra found the breakthrough in the closing moments after being instructed to move closer to the area and link up with Ignasi Quer.
“They dropped even deeper in the first half; in the second, we looked to use the width of the wingers to create space inside,” Belletti said. The coach also welcomed the return from injury of two players: 16-year-old Ebrima Tunkara and 19-year-old Josué Caicedo. “We are a team with concentration and momentum. The need to maintain that for 100 minutes led us to victory,” he said.
Belletti also praised his reading of the decisive moments: “At key moments, I know what each player can do to help us.” Ybarra made the most of the limited space against SD Logroñés’ defensive block. Barça Atlètic’s positive run continues, with the side leading Group 2.
