Al Ahly fans chant their support for El Shenawy ahead of 133rd summit

“The best goalkeeper in Egypt”: Al Ahly supporters made their backing for Mohamed El Shenawy clear before kickoff in the 133rd summit against Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League. At Cairo International Stadium, they sent special messages of support to their team’s goalkeeper and captain.

The fans chanted: “El Shenawy is the real deal… the best goalkeeper in Egypt.” They also sang: “Al Ahly is doing well… El Shenawy brings good luck.” Their words reflected their confidence in the goalkeeper, described as one of the team’s important figures in recent years.

The chants came amid anticipation for the meeting between the two clubs. Supporters of both Al Ahly and Zamalek are eagerly awaiting the game, which has drawn wide interest among Egyptian football fans.

The support also comes against the backdrop of a dispute between El Shenawy and Hossam Hassan. The Pharaohs’ senior national-team coach clashed with Al Ahly’s captain after leaving him out of the squad’s latest camp.

Al Ahly are seeking a strong display against Zamalek, given the match’s importance to the team’s league campaign. El Shenawy, meanwhile, hopes to perform well and help his side secure a positive result.
