Crystal Palace beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park, on Oliver Glasner’s return to the ground. The London side came from behind to earn their first home victory of the season, putting their poor results behind them and moving away from the relegation zone.
The first half began at a brisk pace. Dan Ndoye put Nottingham Forest ahead after an error by Anan Khalaili, steering a low shot close to Walter Benítez’s left-hand post. Crystal Palace struggled to build its play and move the ball out from the back, while Forest dominated much of the half.
The hosts levelled through Kamada in the 41st minute. Then, in added time, Jefferson Lerma headed Palace in front from an Adam Wharton corner. The comeback was complete before the break, with the London side making the most of its chances late in the first half.
Pino extended Palace’s lead in the 59th minute. Forest were shaken by the goal and pushed into the opposition half late on, but did not create enough danger. The hosts managed their advantage and prevented their visitors from getting back into the match. The hard-earned win also won over Crystal Palace’s supporters.
