Elche have taken just one point at the Martínez Valero against Celta

At the Martínez Valero, the tally stands at just one point after the 0-0 draw with Celta. Elche, once among the strongest home sides in LaLiga EA Sports and reliant on that strength to secure survival, are now described as the worst home team in Primera, level with Valencia. Their home form has changed sharply from one season to the next.

The fixture list offers some perspective: each of the first four visitors to the Martínez Valero plays in European competition. Barcelona, the reigning Primera champions, won 5-0; Copa holders Real Sociedad prevailed 3-2. Real Madrid, a regular in the Champions League, also won 3-2, while Celta left with a goalless draw. Seven of the nine Primera teams due to visit the Martínez Valero before the halfway point of the league campaign play in Europe.

Valencia, currently second from bottom, will be Elche’s next opponent at home. Two away trips then follow, against Champions League sides Betis and Atlético de Madrid. Getafe, a Conference League side, will visit the Martínez Valero in Elche’s final home fixture of the first half of the Liga campaign.

Elche will then begin a second consecutive away trip, visiting Rayo Vallecano, recent Conference League finalists. Villarreal and Athletic, meanwhile, will not visit the Martínez Valero until the second half of the season.
