Tarek Salem’s resignation from the sporting director position has been confirmed following the recruitment of Mohamed Kouki. The departure accompanies the arrival of the new coach, who signed a contract with the Club on Monday evening running through the end of the season.
Kouki is due to take up his duties from Tuesday. His staff will include assistant Raed Al-Brahmi, physical trainer Rafiq Boukemcha and performance analyst Mohamed Ali Bakouch. Their appointments accompany the change in the sporting department, while the coach’s contract sets the terms of his commitment through the end of the season.
The transition is taking place as the team continues its training schedule. This evening’s session went ahead without the foreign players, who were completing the procedures required to obtain visas for Côte d’Ivoire. Their absence was connected to those formalities, rather than to any announced change in the organisation of the session.
The confirmed change therefore affects both the sporting director role, which Salem is leaving, and the coaching position, now entrusted to Kouki. The coach is due to begin work on Tuesday alongside his staff, while the foreign players complete the visa procedures mentioned.
