Sabadell have earned the right to dream. Their return to professional football has exceeded expectations: after nine matchdays, the club sit fifth on 16 points, level with Sporting de Gijón. Four wins, four draws and one defeat have put them in the play-off places, making their start one of the most surprising in the division.
From their first match, Sabadell have shown desire, ambition and a competitive mindset. That approach has helped them adapt quickly to the demands of Liga Hypermotion. The club can take satisfaction in its progress while keeping its initial objective in view.
Caution is still warranted. Liga Hypermotion is a long competition in which runs of form and consistency matter, and a team’s position can change dramatically over just two or three matches. Sabadell’s opening gives them reason to believe in what they can achieve, but they will need to sustain that momentum as the season continues.
