Egypt took part in international discussions on the future of karate. Alongside the World Championships for juniors, youth and under-21 athletes in Poland, the International Karate Federation held a high-level meeting attended by its president, Antonio Espinós, and Mohamed El-Dahrawy, head of the Egyptian Karate Federation.
The talks focused in particular on the international calendar and upcoming championships. Other subjects relating to the sport’s future worldwide were also on the agenda.
Mohamed El-Dahrawy attended in his capacity as a member of the International Karate Federation’s executive board. His participation coincided with the Egyptian national team competing at the championships, giving Egyptian karate a place in discussions about the sport’s direction.
The meeting took place as the World Championships brought together promising talents and future champions. The timing connected discussions about the international administration of karate with the athletes’ competition.
