Mohamed Sherif scored his first goals for Al-Zawraa against Qatar in the opening round of the Gulf Champions League. The forward opened his account for his new side as the two teams met in the competition. No final result is established here; the confirmed development is Sherif’s scoring contribution.
Sherif joined Al-Zawraa at the start of the current season on a one-season loan from Al Ahly. The Egyptian forward had previously moved to Al-Khaleej in the summer of 2023 on a two-season contract. He later returned to Al Ahly on a free transfer last summer before leaving on loan for Al-Zawraa.
Aged 30, Sherif joined Al Ahly in January 2018 from Wadi Degla. He subsequently went on loan to ENPPI before returning to Al Ahly in October 2020. During his career with the Egyptian club, he played 171 official matches, scored 61 goals and provided 12 assists. He also won several honours there, including the Egyptian league, the CAF Champions League, the Egypt Cup, the Egyptian Super Cup and the CAF Super Cup.
