The crest has now been installed on the Bernabéu façade, alongside the letters spelling the stadium’s name. In the finished arrangement, the emblem comes before “Bernabéu”, with a vertical bar separating the two. The addition completes the venue’s exterior image.
The lettering was put up on 15 August, ahead of the first home league match. At the time, the display showed “Bernabéu”, but not the emblem identifying the club. Nor did it carry the full name “Santiago Bernabéu”.
That first version had left the façade looking unfinished to some supporters. They had hoped to see the club’s identity, with all its symbols, reflected on the outside of the new Bernabéu; the missing crest therefore caused some disappointment. Its addition now brings the name and emblem together in the same display.
The change is about more than adding a symbol: it alters the composition visible on the façade, with the crest now preceding the name and clearly set apart from it. The finished arrangement pairs the club’s identifying mark with the name that had been installed first, completing the exterior presentation begun with the lettering in August.
