Espérance Sportive de Tunis has announced that it rejects the number of tickets Al-Suwaihli reserved for its supporters for the first leg, scheduled for 18 October 2026. The club says the allocation does not meet its supporters’ needs, although it complies with the regulations of the Confederation of African Football. Espérance summed up its position: “It does not meet the needs of our supporters.”
The Tunisian club also said it would not take responsibility for its supporters’ travel to Libya, whether arranged through travel agencies or undertaken individually. In Espérance’s view, responsibility for such trips rests with those making them and the parties organising them.
The objection to the ticket allocation has not stopped the club from acknowledging its opponent’s preparations. Espérance praised Al-Suwaihli’s efforts to ensure the match runs smoothly and takes place in good conditions.
