Netflix says it has secured exclusive broadcast rights for the 2030 World Cup in Spain and Andorra. The tournament will be jointly organised by Spain, Morocco and Portugal, with matches connected to the competition’s centenary to be held in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

In an official statement, the platform confirmed that it would stream all 104 matches live. The deal marks its first major move into the Spanish market for international men’s football competitions.

The agreement also includes free-to-access coverage. Netflix said one match from each matchday would be available without a subscription in Spain. A national free-to-air television channel is also to receive a package of games including every match played by Spain’s national team, both semi-finals and the final.

The platform also plans Spanish-language coverage, with analysis shows before matches, at half-time and after the final whistle, as well as a daily programme on the tournament’s main events. Netflix also intends to offer introductory content during preparations for the competition.
