Ibrahim Hassan has addressed the dispute with El-Gabaliya, El Shenawy’s position and the possibility of travelling to Turkey to follow Mohamed Salah. The director of the Egypt senior national team said a trip by the technical staff had been discussed, but no official decision had been made.

In a television appearance, Hassan attributed recent events to a misunderstanding and a difference of viewpoints. He also said the technical staff had received no official notification about a trip to Turkey.

Hassan also described the approach of the staff led by Hossam Hassan: regularly bringing in new players and giving opportunities to those who work hard and show they can represent the national team, without distinction based on age or prior calculations.

The director also said Hamdy Fathy had been injured. The player might be unable to join the next camp, a possibility Hassan stressed would matter to the team. On Mohamed El Shenawy, he highlighted the goalkeeper’s standing in Egyptian football and his contribution to the national team.

If the opportunity arose, the staff would have no objection to travelling to Turkey or England to follow Omar Marmoush, or to Spain to watch Hamza Abdelkarim. For Mohamed Salah, however, a trip to Turkey remains without an official decision at this stage.
