Shobier strongly criticised Zamalek’s board, urging it not to portray itself to supporters as a victim of injustice. Journalist Ahmed Shobier challenged the steps taken against the referees’ committee and called on the club’s officials to correct their mistakes and tackle the crises affecting Zamalek.

In radio remarks, Shobier acknowledged that Zamalek had the right to defend its interests if it believed it had been treated unfairly. But he argued that this should not distract the board from the club’s internal problems or how they are managed: focusing solely on refereeing is not enough, he said.

The journalist also raised questions about responsibility for the registration ban crisis, accumulated fines and the recruitment of players who fell short of expectations. He named Omar Farag and Ahmed El Gafaly, questioning why they were brought in and later left, as well as the financial burden that followed.

Concluding his remarks, Shobier stressed that Zamalek’s pursuit of its rights is not incompatible with acknowledging its internal mistakes.
