Germany dominated the men’s rapid-fire pistol podium, while Armenia claimed gold in the women’s air pistol, as the finals in the two events were decided. Oliver Geis took first place, ahead of compatriot Florian Peter, with Emanuel Müller completing the podium. All three rapid-fire pistol medals therefore went to Germany.
In the women’s 10-metre final, Armenia’s Elin Karapetyan secured victory. Bulgaria’s Miroslava Mincheva finished second and France’s Céline Jedrzejewska was third. The events were the women’s 10-metre air pistol and the men’s 25-metre rapid-fire pistol, featuring high-level competitors from the international shooting scene.
The results reflected the narrow technical margins among the women competing and the intense contest for the leading places in an Olympic shooting discipline. Germany’s clean sweep defined the men’s final, while Karapetyan secured the top spot for Armenia in the women’s event.
