Masina joins Progresso’s coaching staff

Masina is moving into coaching with an Italian club. The 32-year-old has joined the first-team staff as a technical collaborator, the club announced. The reshuffle also includes the appointment of Francesco Salmi as the first team’s technical director.

Masina’s arrival follows the end of his playing spell at Torino and his failure to reach an agreement with another club to continue his playing career. He now joins Progresso’s staff, marking a new step for the former Morocco international.

Earlier, Masina joined Torino in January 2024, having previously played for Bologna, Udinese and Watford. His professional career took him through different levels of European football.

Masina had hoped to keep playing during the current season. With no offer matching his expectations, he is turning to technical work, drawing on his experience in Italian and English stadiums as well as his appearances for the Morocco national team.
