New timings have been announced for the matches on the final day of the quarter-finals at the 2026 Egypt International Squash Open. The schedule was revised after the matches were postponed because of bad weather in the pyramids region.
Earlier in the day, the Federation announced the postponement of matches on the second day of the quarter-finals. Three matches are now due to be played today, Wednesday, to complete the round. The withdrawal of Welsh player Joel Makin, ranked eighth in the world, because of an injury has reduced the programme: Peru’s Diego Elias, ranked third in the world, advances directly to the semi-finals.
The quarter-finals are being played on the glass court in front of the Giza pyramids, where the first day’s matches had already taken place. Tournament matches are due to continue at the venue through to the finals, scheduled for 16 October, which will decide the title.
