Levante has been sanctioned after bottles were thrown onto the pitch. The RFEF Disciplinary Committee fined the club for a «minor disturbance of order during the match», following objects thrown late in Monday’s game against Sevilla.
In his report on the Levante-Sevilla match at Ciutat de València, which ended 3-3, the referee noted «a multitude of plastic bottles, cups and other objects». They were thrown in the 95th minute as the Andalusian side celebrated its 2-3 goal.
The Disciplinary Committee applied Article 117 of the disciplinary code. For incidents classified as minor under Article 15, it provides for a fine of up to 602 euros for the responsible club.
Levante has therefore avoided a more severe sanction, which could have included the partial closure of the stand from which the bottles were thrown onto the pitch.
