Carlos Alcaraz has accepted an invitation to play the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna after the Six Kings Slam was postponed. The 23-year-old has 27 ATP titles and seven Grand Slam titles. The Vienna event, scheduled for October 26 to November 1, will feature defending champion Jannik Sinner.

Originally due to take place next week in Saudi Arabia, the Six Kings Slam has been moved to late December. That calendar change, along with an early exit at the Shanghai Masters 1000, led to the Vienna invitation being accepted. Herwig Straka, the tournament director, had contacted Carlos Alcaraz’s team in an effort to bring him to the event. The decision came quickly, and the player accepted without hesitation.

Alcaraz will arrive in Vienna on Saturday, October 24, and begin his preparations there. He is scheduled to start on Tuesday, October 27, on the centre court at the Stadhalle de Viena. Sinner won the 2025 and 2023 editions. Alexandr Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Flavio Cobolli and Alex de Miñaur are also in the field.

The appearance will be Alcaraz’s return to a tournament he has played only once before, five years ago. This season, he has won the Australian Open in Melbourne, as well as the events in Doha and Tokyo. Vienna takes place in the week before the Paris Masters 1000, the final tournament of that category this season.
