Andrés Feliz made eight three-pointers for Real Madrid against ASVEL Villeurbane, who lost 111-92 in the EuroLeague. Tony Parker, the French side’s coach, explained the detail he believes sheds light on the Madrid player’s display: “Now I know why Andrés Feliz made eight threes… He was playing against his idol.”
Parker recalled asking him: “I asked Andrés Feliz if he was going to miss a three-pointer or something like that.” The coach linked Feliz’s run of made shots to his admiration for him.
Feliz was named MVP of the game. He finished with 26 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and a performance rating of 30. Pedro Martínez also praised his display, saying he played with determination and confidence and highlighting the quality of his shooting.
The performance capped a particularly strong week for Feliz in the EuroLeague: across his two games, he surpassed his previous best performances in the competition.
