The organising committee has officially provided an update on the 2027 Asian Cup: preparations for the tournament are continuing ahead of its scheduled dates, January 7 to February 5, 2027. The local organising committee for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia said it was working continuously with the Asian Football Confederation and the relevant entities.
In a statement published on X, the committee said organisational and operational work was progressing in line with the approved schedule. This includes ensuring the availability of facilities, equipment and services for the competition.
The organisers also said they were working to provide a comprehensive experience for participating national teams, supporters and media from different parts of Asia. Their stated aim is to ensure suitable conditions for the continental event to succeed.
The local committee reiterated its commitment to continuing the work and mobilising the resources needed. It aims to deliver an edition befitting the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while taking account of developments related to the competition.
