Barcelona returns to LaLiga’s Delegated Commission with backing from Real Sociedad and Athletic Club de Bilbao. Javier Tebas highlighted the club’s financial management, which enabled it to return to the 1/1 rule in the last transfer window. The return is confirmed, but the precise status of the move within the body is not established by the available claims.

The support recalls an earlier change in membership: in 2024, Real Madrid returned to the Delegated Commission with backing from Real Sociedad and Real Valladolid. On October 8, Real Madrid was still reported as a member of the body. This time, Real Sociedad supported Barcelona’s return alongside Athletic Club de Bilbao.

Relations had nevertheless become strained over the disclosure of the club’s financial information. Barcelona sent a letter to the governing body expressing its strong disagreement with the publication of those details.

In this matter, Joan Laporta helped Javier Tebas in connection with Miguel Galán’s complaint to the CSD and the proceeding opened by the TAD over the disclosure of this private information. The opening of a proceeding is not a finding of responsibility. Despite that episode, relations between LaLiga and the club are described as cordial and close.
