Junior is Betis’ only absentee ahead of Barcelona’s visit. Junior Firpo was the sole player missing from Friday’s training session and will be the only player left out for the match against FC Barcelona. The nature of his problem and the length of his absence are not established here.

Aitor Ruibal, meanwhile, took part in another session with the group and continues to work towards full fitness. Betis are entering the final stretch of their preparations with almost the entire squad available, while Manuel Pellegrini continues to settle on his team.

The coach is considering several changes to the side he fielded on Wednesday against Porto. Cucho Hernández could also come into the team, as one of Pellegrini’s attacking options. Dani Ceballos, meanwhile, could make his first start against Barcelona.

The lineup is still to be decided, but Betis have almost their whole squad available as the fixture approaches, with Junior Firpo the exception.
