Conte denies advanced negotiations with any club

Antonio Conte has issued a statement in response to speculation linking him with Manchester United. The Italian coach says he is not in advanced negotiations with any club, as Michael Carrick’s future remains a subject of debate in England and British media discuss possible replacements at the Manchester club.
“My name has been linked with numerous clubs, but there are currently no negotiations at an advanced stage,” Conte said. He has been connected with Old Trafford alongside Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann. The coach sought to address reports of contact and of conditions being set before a possible return to the dugout.
Conte also disputed reports of financial demands or requests for total control, saying they were unfounded. His statement additionally addressed comments about his “strong personality”; he wrote that there was no concrete basis for such assessments.
The Italian has not ruled out a return. He said he would take the time needed to consider how and when to resume coaching, and that he would decide only when he believed the conditions were right. “If a concrete opportunity arises, that will be the time to hold discussions with the club concerned and assess the terms of a possible agreement together,” he added.
The clarification comes as several English media outlets list Conte among the coaches Manchester United could consider if Carrick’s situation continues to deteriorate. Other possible successors have also been named if the Diablos Rojos decide to part ways with the English coach. Conte, currently without a club, has also been linked with Juventus in reports from Italy.
In a message posted on Instagram, Conte said speculation about his demands and professional future should not be treated as fact. His statement rules out the suggestion that advanced negotiations are already under way, while leaving open the possibility of future talks if a genuine opportunity emerges.
