Spain-Croatia and Atlético de Madrid-Manchester United classified as high-risk matches

The match between Spain and Croatia, scheduled for 29 September at Seville’s Sánchez Pizjuán, has been declared high risk by the Violence Committee. The State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport has therefore placed one of Spain’s Nations League group-stage matches in that category.
The decision also applies to Oviedo-Sporting, Spain-Croatia, Racing de Ferrol-Pontevedra, Atlético de Madrid-Manchester United and Betis-Oporto, scheduled between 27 September and 14 October. Atlético’s next Champions League fixture, against Manchester United, is therefore also classified as high risk.
Two regional derbies feature on the list. Oviedo-Sporting, scheduled for 27 September, is part of matchday 7 in LaLiga Hypermotion. Racing de Ferrol-Pontevedra, set for 3 October, is a matchday 6 fixture in Primera Federación.
In European competition, Manchester United’s visit to Atlético de Madrid on 13 October and Oporto’s visit to Betis are considered high-risk matches on the second matchday of the Champions League.
