Manchester United and Liverpool tracking Tyrick Mitchell, Garnacho watched in La Liga

Wednesday’s gossip round-up puts Tyrick Mitchell at the heart of the discussion. Crystal Palace’s 27-year-old English left-back is attracting growing interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Alejandro Garnacho is also involved in the transfer market picture. The Aston Villa attacking midfielder is being monitored by La Liga clubs after struggling to establish himself at Villa Park since joining on loan from Chelsea in the summer.

At Liverpool, Julian Ward is expected to return as sporting director. Chelsea are tracking Adama Jeng, a 15-year-old Gambian midfielder at Samger FC. Bayern Munich, Benfica, Sporting and Paris FC are also interested in the youngster.

In Spain, AC Milan and Roma want to take Endrick on loan, provided Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to let the 20-year-old Brazilian forward leave. Barcelona, meanwhile, have scouted 19-year-old Brazilian defender Arthur Dias of Athletico Paranaense, who had previously attracted strong interest from Tottenham.

Arsenal had also come close to signing Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid during the summer, to the point that the 26-year-old Brazilian forward’s team-mates believed his move to the Gunners was a done deal. Away from the transfer market, Hodgkinson won the Athlos 800m, while England’s 39-match winning run ended with a thrilling draw against Canada.
