Sporting ended their poor run at El Molinón by coming from behind to beat Celta Fortuna in a match that finished under pressure. The Asturian side had lost their previous two home games. Celta Fortuna, meanwhile, had collected only one point across their last four rounds and played the entire second half with a numerical disadvantage.
Óscar Marcos opened the scoring before Antonio Casas struck twice ahead of the break to put Sporting in front. Two defensive mistakes and a decisive late first-half sequence helped turn the match around. Before half-time, Marcos missed the chance to add another: Yáñez denied him, Coke kept out a Casas header, and Cuenca stopped another dangerous Marcos attempt.
In added time, following a stoppage caused by an incident in the stands, Meixús was shown a straight red card after a video review. Casas converted the resulting free kick to make it 2-1.
Sporting looked to have secured the result in the second half when Guille Rosas fired in close to the post from a Mata cross. Mata had just come on and was making his debut. Celta Fortuna continued to press, however. After Álvaro Marín and Ángel Arcos had threatened, Kibet scored with a powerful, accurately placed strike. Sporting ended the match with a win and a broken losing run, but had to withstand a tense finish.
