Claudia Pina makes Clásico history with four-goal haul

Claudia Pina made Clásico history by becoming the first player to score four goals in a match between the sides. At Camp Nou, Moncada y Reixach scored four of Barcelona’s goals in a heavy victory over Real Madrid on matchday six of Liga F.

At half-time, Moncada told Dazn: “Very happy. You don’t score four goals every day, especially against Real Madrid. I’ll take the team’s first half. We won the ball back a lot and were strong defensively, without letting them transition much.”

The four goals take Pina to nine in Clásico history. Only Alexia Putellas, with 14, and Ewa Pajor, with 13, are ahead of her. Already the Pichichi last season, she is alone at the top of the Liga scoring chart with nine goals in six matches, plus three assists.

Pina has made 230 appearances for Barcelona and is under contract with the club until June 2029. Her 115 goals place her sixth among the section’s all-time leading scorers, ahead of Mariona Caldentey’s mark.

She had previously scored against Real Madrid in both legs of the 2021/22 Champions League quarter-finals, in the Supercopa de España semi-finals, and in Liga matches at home in 2023 and away in 2024.
