Valls and Martorell win in the third round of Lliga Elit

Valls and Martorell claimed victories in the third round of Lliga Elit. Valls’ win over Viladecans took the side to seven points, level with Manlleu, who remain top after drawing with that team. In that match, Pius Quer had equalised just before half-time after Adrià Recort opened the scoring. The game was played at Municipal de Manlleu in front of 743 spectators.

Against Viladecans, Valls made its chances count. Sasha opened the scoring with a direct free kick, then Ignasi Tarrés pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area after the break to extend the lead. Viladecans responded when Guille Dolz met a cross first time, but Guillem restored Valls’ advantage with a long-range shot across goal. Carlos Cano scored for the hosts in the 90th minute, but they could not find an equaliser.

Valls therefore moved into second place, level on points with Manlleu. Vila lost top spot, which it had held after collecting three points in its first two league matches. Martorell, meanwhile, showed a more mature side in the second half after an open first period in which neither team had a clear edge.
