Bayern Munich nearing a decision on Harry Kane’s future

Bayern Munich are moving closer to a decision on Harry Kane’s future. The club and its England forward are in the final stretch of talks over an extension through 2029, although no completed deal has been announced. The remaining points of the new contract are being clarified.

The proposed end date would extend beyond Kane’s current agreement, which runs until the summer of 2027. An extension is presented as the expected outcome of the negotiations, but it still needs to be finalised. Bayern’s immediate task is to turn advanced discussions into a definitive agreement.

The talks are progressing according to plan, and both parties are very confident they can reach a successful conclusion. That optimism accompanies negotiations which have reached their final stage.

Kane left Tottenham Hotspur to join Bayern in the summer of 2023 for about 100 million euros. Since then, he has scored 152 goals and provided 34 assists in 154 official matches for the club. The 33-year-old could therefore see his commitment extended by two further years beyond its current expiry date.
