FootballZinédine Zidane and Aimé Jacquet reunite after France-Belgium
After France’s 4-1 Nations League win over Belgium, Zinédine Zidane reunited with Aimé Jacquet in the Stade de France corridor.

“His renewal is not the focus,” Manu Fajardo said of Manuel Pellegrini. The Betis sporting director discussed several club matters on Onda Cero on Monday, including the coach’s future, squad planning and Troy Parrott’s start. The club is not currently considering opening talks to renew Pellegrini’s contract.
“It is too early to talk about his renewal. Like him, important players have contracts running until 2027. That is not the focus right now; a renewal is not on the table today,” Fajardo explained. He recalled that Pellegrini himself had said the matter was not a priority.
Fajardo also praised Troy Parrott’s quick adaptation. “Sometimes you have to wait for performances to come, but some players, like Parrott, fit in perfectly from the very first minute,” he said.
Fajardo also said Betis need to generate capital gains to sustain their squad model. He hopes Parrott and other players at the club will attract interest from other teams in January. In his view, that interest would be a “reflection of the great performances they have produced at Betis.”
He also highlighted the national-team call-ups of Facundo Bernal, Valentín Gómez and Fran García, which he attributed to the “work we did in the summer.”
