Amrabat sees Ouazane reaching Europe’s top clubs

Amrabat is raising expectations around Abdellah Ouazane, saying his young compatriot has the qualities to open the door to Europe’s biggest clubs in the future. He has also cautioned against expecting too much too soon as Ouazane continues to develop at Ajax.

Sofyan Amrabat says he has been impressed by the profile of the Ajax Amsterdam player. In his view, Ouazane combines physical strengths — power, speed and fitness — with technical ability that makes him a promising young talent at the club. Sofyan also believes the player, nicknamed “Abi”, has considerable room to improve.

Amrabat’s assessment goes beyond what Ouazane offers on the pitch. He also considers the young player’s good attitude an important part of his development as he seeks to establish himself in European football.

Amrabat says what he has seen so far has convinced him that Ouazane can reach a higher level and eventually play for major European clubs. He nonetheless urges him to keep working, remain humble and resist pressure and premature expectations. Ouazane is still building his experience with Ajax; the qualities Amrabat has identified could lead to a more prominent place in the first team and, in time, make him a promising Moroccan name in Europe.
