Real Madrid will be without Gabriel Deck for at least its next two games. The forward will miss Thursday’s meeting with Partizan in the fourth round of the EuroLeague and Sunday’s game against Kids&Us Manresa in Liga Endesa. Ongoing trouble with his left shoulder is behind the absence. Tests are expected to establish the severity of the injury and how long he will be sidelined.

Pedro Martínez announced the news ahead of the game against Partizan. “Gaby Deck got injured yesterday. He definitely won’t play this week, neither tomorrow’s game nor the weekend game. We are waiting for tests, which will be done today or tomorrow, to find out the real extent of it and how long he will be out,” the coach said.

The coach added that he did not want to get ahead of the medical findings. He said, however, that the club’s medical staff had stopped the player from playing this week. “It doesn’t seem to be something… But I don’t want to get ahead of events. First they’ll do tests, and then we’ll know,” he said.

The shoulder had already been causing problems during the FIBA window at the end of August and beginning of September. Deck’s absence is confirmed for the next two games; what follows will depend on the test results.
