Ramadan Sobhi has been suspended for four years, the international anti-doping organisation announced after a positive result from a doping sample was established. The decision led Pyramids to end the player’s contract by mutual agreement, leaving his future uncertain.

Asked by MBC Masr about his next step, Sobhi replied: “I don’t know; I haven’t thought about that question yet.” He said he would address the subject later: “In the coming period, I will speak about everything concerning my future.”

The interview also touched on the match between Zamalek and Al Ahly, scheduled for next Sunday. Speaking about the fixture, Sobhi, a former player for the Reds, said he would not make a prediction. “The match is difficult, and the result is always unpredictable,” he said, adding that both teams had reached a good physical level after playing five league matches. “I hope we see a high-level match,” he concluded.

The suspension and the termination of his contract leave Sobhi with no announced sporting future for now. He has promised to speak later about what comes next in his career.
