Dani Carvajal is said to have set a condition for joining Getafe. A Spanish report said on Thursday that the former Real Madrid player was considering the move, while the radio report cited says he would be willing to take a pay cut to wear the club’s shirt, provided a non-negotiable clause is written into his contract.
Carvajal has been free to join a club outside the transfer windows since his contract with Real Madrid ended at the close of last season. The condition under discussion could allow for an agreement lasting only three months, if all parties accept it. That would cover the time remaining before the next summer transfer window opens.
But Getafe does not appear to favour that arrangement. According to the cited source, it is widening the disagreement between the two sides. The possibility therefore depends on acceptance of the clause and the terms of any potential agreement; the reports do not describe a completed signing.
