National Bank of Egypt have announced that Osama Faisal has a tear in the cartilage of his knee. Mohamed El-Asyouti, the club’s medical department director, said medical examinations and X-rays confirmed the injury and that urgent surgery was required.
Faisal had returned from representing Egypt during the latest international break. The club will determine the date of the operation and an appropriate rehabilitation programme in the coming days, El-Asyouti said, with the aim of preparing the player to return to the pitch as soon as possible. The injury will keep him out of matches until he completes treatment and rehabilitation.
Before the injury, Osama Faisal had scored twice in two matches for National Bank of Egypt this season. Earlier, the former Zamalek striker had represented Egypt in 18 international matches.
