Florin Manea wants Radu Dragusin to focus on Fiorentina before considering his next move

Florin Manea wants Radu Dragusin to focus on Fiorentina, where the defender is on loan after suffering a serious injury during his time at Tottenham. In an interview with Sport.ro, Manea said he believes the 24-year-old will overcome his injury troubles and keep progressing in Serie A.

“I never had any doubts and was always convinced he would come back stronger than before, because he is better prepared and more motivated,” Manea said. He also noted that Dragusin is only 24 and said a player reaches full maturity between 26 and 27.

Manea says a transfer is not currently under consideration. He is convinced Dragusin will return to the value he had before the injury and that clubs previously interested in him will make contact again. In his view, any future move would need to represent progress in the defender’s career. “If he leaves Fiorentina, we would want him to join a higher-level club. For now, the priority is to do well in the Viola shirt. We will see what happens in two or three years, but I do not think he will leave Florence before two years.”

The agent also pointed to Dragusin’s experience at the highest level: two seasons in the Premier League, titles in the Europa League and Coppa Italia with Juventus, and an appearance at a European Championship with Romania. Manea believes the defender has time to regain his best level before considering another destination.
