Mbappé reportedly unhappy with Real Madrid’s lack of support in Ballon d’Or race

Real Madrid’s lack of support in the Ballon d’Or race is said to be fuelling a crisis around Kylian Mbappé, who is described as angry with the club. Reports say the forward was surprised by the way Real Madrid has handled the matter: he had expected more backing in his pursuit of the award. That disappointment could deepen his frustration, despite receiving support from his coach, José Mourinho.

The forward arrived in Madrid with high ambitions and wants to establish himself as one of the leading figures in the club’s sporting project and among the biggest stars in world football. The support he expects in the Ballon d’Or race could therefore affect how he views his place in the team.

High expectations and competition at Real Madrid are already adding to the pressure on Mbappé. He also needs to keep producing strong performances and winning major matches.

In recent weeks, reports have linked his name with a possible move to Liverpool. His performances are expected to play a decisive role in shaping the next step of his career. The match against Villarreal is presented as another opportunity for the France captain to shine and answer his critics, with his relationship with Real Madrid’s leadership still uncertain.
