Al-Kuwait SC recorded a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Al-Nasr on Friday in the fourth round of the Kuwaiti football championship. Taha Yassine Khenissi was central to the result, scoring twice in the space of two minutes, in the 63rd and 65th minutes. Five different players supplied the team’s other goals.
Mohamed Marhoun opened the scoring in the 26th minute. Ali Bourdara added Al-Kuwait SC’s next goal in the 57th, before Khenissi struck twice. Ahmed Dhafiri then scored in the 73rd minute, with Fayçal Harbi and Amrou Abdelfattah completing the tally late on, in the 84th and 88th minutes. Al-Kuwait SC’s goals therefore came across both halves and continued into the closing stages.
The result also strengthens Al-Kuwait SC’s position in the standings: the club remains first on 10 points. Al-Nasr, beaten in this match, sit fourth with 6 points. The leaders have maintained their place at the top, while the two sides are now separated by four points after the fourth round.
