The amputee football team has begun a closed camp in Ismailia as it prepares for the World Cup. The camp is due to run until 8 November, with the tournament scheduled to take place in Mexico during November.
Led by Dr Mohamed Khairy, the technical staff aims to prepare the players physically and technically and bring them to the best possible level before the competition. The camp is an important stage in that preparation.
The programme is also set to focus on more intensive group training and strengthening cohesion among the players. Tactical and technical work will feature as well, with the aim of helping the team make a strong impression at the World Cup.
Ahead of the camp, the Paralympic committee had held trials to select the players set to take part in the upcoming World Championship, which will be held in Mexico.
