After Racing de Santander’s 2-2 draw with Valencia, Iván Martín explained why the team feels more comfortable at home and admitted it had dropped too deep after his goal.

“Morante is at the perfect club to grow,” Isco said after Real Betis defeated Osasuna in the Liga. Isco Alarcón scored twice and was named the match MVP at La Cartuja. Real Betis remain on the Liga podium, but the captain also identified an area for improvement.
“Those lapses after 3-0 cannot happen again,” he warned, referring to the two goals conceded in barely five minutes. “We have to control the match better,” he insisted. Isco also discussed the fourth goal, which Osasuna players disputed. He said he had not seen the play and had followed it after several rebounds in the penalty area before getting to the ball. He stressed that the goal was important as his team came under pressure.
On a personal level, Isco welcomed the rhythm he is regaining. “I’m carrying on working with great enthusiasm, keen to improve and help the team,” he said, adding that the squad faces a season “that is very exciting”.
The midfielder also praised Morante, who scored on his Liga debut. “There’s no better way to make your debut. He has everything: he’s young, has plenty of potential, quality and a great shot. He is at the perfect club to grow in the best possible way. We all have to look after him; he will surely give us a lot this season,” Isco said.
