Dani Carvajal’s move to Getafe is being presented as completed, but it has yet to be officially confirmed. The right-back has reportedly reached an agreement with the club; the documents sent to both parties still need to be signed before the transfer can be announced officially.

Getafe is continuing to recruit from the pool of unattached players in October, aiming to give José Bordalás more options. The move comes after an inconsistent start to the season. The club plans to present Carvajal after its match against Universitatea Craiova next Thursday in the Conference League.

Carvajal’s arrival could be part of further recruitment. After completing that transfer, Getafe is also looking at Dani Parejo, a 37-year-old midfielder currently without a club after ending last season at Villarreal. The player and Getafe have already been in contact. Parejo played for Getafe between 2009 and 2011, 15 years ago, and has extensive experience in La Liga, having also played for Real Madrid, Valencia and Villarreal.

The club is also continuing to explore the market for unattached players in search of another attacking option for Bordalás’s squad. Getafe are competing in three demanding competitions this season, and the coach wants to strengthen the team’s attacking power.
