Levante and Sevilla drew 3-3 in La Liga in a match featuring three stoppage-time goals and a red card. The result was decided beyond the 100th minute, after a game in which the teams repeatedly answered one another. Before kick-off, it would have been difficult to predict such a run of twists between Levante and FC Sevilla.
The eighth-round fixture brought together sides in very different positions: one was in the relegation zone, while the other held a European place. Despite that contrast, the contest remained open until the closing moments. The goals in stoppage time prolonged the uncertainty, while the sending-off added another turn to the balance of the match.
Levante, playing with a numerical advantage, eventually snatched a draw through Ifeanyi Ndukwe. At 18, he scored his first La Liga goal in the 90th minute plus 10 to bring his team level. That late equaliser completed the 3-3 in a match whose conclusion came long after regular time. For both teams, the result followed a fiercely contested battle, but the defining feature was the intensity and extraordinary finish.
