The draw for the Saudi Super Cup has been officially announced, setting the two semi-final matchups that will determine the finalists. The tournament is expected to take place in Kuwait from 19 to 23 December.

Al-Ahli will face Al-Qadsiah in the first semi-final, while Al-Nassr will meet Al-Kholood. The winners will contest the final and the title. The four clubs’ ambitions to continue their campaigns have fuelled anticipation among Saudi supporters.

The ceremony was held in Kuwait in the presence of Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the State of Kuwait; Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, president of the Kuwait Football Association; and Tareq Al-Jalahma, Kuwait’s sports minister.

Ali Marwi and Bashar Abdullah, two former Kuwaiti football stars, also took part. Before the ceremony, Marwi had played professionally for Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia; Abdullah had professional experience with Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia and played for the Kuwait national team.

The tournament is expected to run in Kuwait from 19 to 23 December. The two semi-final winners will advance to the final, which will decide the champion of this new edition.
