Inter Milan will have to manage without Lautaro Martínez, who has a muscle fatigue issue in his left hamstring. Medical examinations revealed the problem, and the Argentine forward is expected to be sidelined until the next international break.
The absence could affect a run of important matches. Inter Milan are expected to be without their forward against Bologna, Shakhtar Donetsk, Fiorentina, Venezia, AC Milan in the city derby, Feyenoord and Como. Given Lautaro’s importance in attack, his absence presents a challenge for the coaching staff.
The injury comes after Inter Milan’s 4-3 defeat to Club Brugge at San Siro, in the second matchday of the league phase of the 2026-2027 Champions League. Losing one of the team’s main attacking players leaves the coaching staff with another challenge across upcoming domestic and continental fixtures.
