A Serbian tennis player has been banned for 24 years for match-fixing. Stefan Milicevic was also fined 70,000 US dollars (£52,800), according to details reported by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). The ban is due to end on October 8, 2050, when he would be 53.

The ITIA says Milicevic led a “corrupt network” between 2022 and 2024. The agency attributes six fixed matches to him, five of which he played in, as well as six further attempted fixes. It also says he did not engage or cooperate with its investigation.

In a statement, the ITIA also said Milicevic had been charged with recruiting, or attempting to recruit, multiple professional players as part of the network, and that other players had fixed matches. That charge is not, in itself, a finding of guilt.

While suspended, Milicevic will not be permitted to play, coach at or attend events organised or sanctioned by World Tennis, the WTA, the ATP, the Grand Slams or any national association. His highest ATP ranking was 1,338.
