Hansi Flick praised Betis, with particular recognition for Abde. Ahead of facing the team, the FC Barcelona coach emphasised the quality of his opponents and the threat they pose, especially in attack and in one-on-one situations.
“The most important thing is to beat Betis tomorrow. They have a lot of confidence because they have won all their home matches and had very good results in the Champions League. They are well placed in LaLiga and the Champions League. We are playing a fantastic team, especially in attack and one-on-one. We will have to defend very well tomorrow,” Flick said. He also praised the team’s progress over the past year.
Asked about Abde, Flick voiced his admiration for the player’s style and confidence in one-on-one situations. “He is a fantastic player. We have a great team, but what I see from him impresses me. I like the way he plays and his confidence in one-on-ones; the goal he scored against Porto was incredible,” he said. While adding that he did not want to talk too much about players from other teams, he described Abde’s level as “very good.”
